All clients have specific requirements, so we tailor our approach around you and your needs. Our shredding process is simple, but we go further to get the job done for you in an ultra-secure manner.
Asset Register
80% of our clients request that their items are tracked as part of the shredding process ensuring they have individual confirmation of the data disposed. We create an encrypted asset register for your highly confidential hard drives and storage media. This includes the type of media (e.g. hard disks, media tapes, CDs), the Asset Tag (serial number or other identifiers), the number of units and the date and time they were shredded.
CCTV
We provide encrypted CCTV footage of the shredding process (see screenshot here). This shows the shredding of your equipment from three different angles within the truck. This file is searchable by the serial number and date/time, allowing you to select the specific part of recording to review the processing on screen. You also have options to select playback speed, and the number of cameras you include in the replay. CCTV Viewer User Guide.
Hard drive removal
You may require assistance with the removal of hard drives from your PCs, laptops or servers before shredding. No problem; our crew are fully trained to take care of that on-site. It’s just another small way in which we help our clients to keep focussed on their core business.
Our employees
All staff are directly employed by DiskShred. This way we can maintain consistency of service as well as ensuring that all our staff have undergone security screening through our own bespoke program:
- Personnel screening completed up to BS7858 Standard.
- Includes as a minimum: Access NI (CRB) and CPD ‘Baseline’.
- Additional screening dependant on client requirements such as SC and CTC, as well as bespoke programs.
The majority of clients shred to 20mm. But our shredders are so powerful they can reduce all kinds of storage into pieces as small as 6mm.
